About The Position

As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Requirements

20+ Years of Age
Valid Drivers License
Ability to use computers - basic computer knowledge
Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam
Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card and/or license is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a government transportation location.
Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, access points, parking locations, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
Monitor entry and restricted areas, verify access permissions when required, and assist with directing foot and vehicle traffic in accordance with location procedures.
Support day-to-day operations by preparing reports, noting unusual conditions, and providing courteous assistance to the public while following Allied Universal standards and site expectations.
