As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Associate in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. This role involves working as an unarmed patrol officer at a leading tech location, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining visibility to deter security-related incidents, and supporting access awareness across the site. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication and customer service skills while working with an agile, reliable, and innovative team that prioritizes people and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and assist with visitor and contractor processing in accordance with site policies and security-related procedures.
  • Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and report maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
