About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Operations in Columbus, Ohio, you will serve and safeguard clients at a healthcare location. You will conduct routine armed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. The role includes providing customer service and clear communication to support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The position is full time and pays $24.72 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:45 AM to 1:45 PM.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
An armed guard card or license.
At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Participation in industry-specific security training programs.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation and drug screen, as permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity and report concerns.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally, following site protocols and applicable laws.
Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, patrol activities, and security-related concerns.
