Armed Security Officer Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer Patrol to support a government corrections location in Maury, North Carolina. The officer will safeguard clients, staff, residents, and visitors by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, conducting armed patrols, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and communicating professionally with facility personnel and visitors. The role requires integrity, teamwork, and a commitment to customer service. The stated pay rate is $21.50 per hour. The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday from 5:45 PM to 6:00 AM. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and a drug screen, subject to applicable law. The officer must participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements depend on state and local laws, and may need to be met before employment.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, staff, residents, and visitors while following security procedures and site-specific policies.
- Carry out emergency response activities when appropriate within a correctional setting.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following post orders and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas.
- Monitor and control access to restricted areas and verify credentials as required.
- Report suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports.
- Coordinate with facility personnel and emergency responders as directed.
