About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Observation for an assigned industrial manufacturing site in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania. The position provides a dependable weekly anchor shift that requires a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow employees to build up to 40 hours per week, while retaining the option to scale back. The listed pay rate is $16.75 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if assigned to a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by following site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, exterior grounds, perimeter fencing, parking areas, rail or shipping areas, and other assigned locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials as directed, document visitor and contractor access, and report access-control concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, hazardous conditions, and critical situations, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and activity logs, and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance or facility concerns to appropriate personnel.
