About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for screening intake at Saint Christopher's Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The officer will welcome patients, visitors, and staff, support access screening, maintain a professional environment, remain visible, communicate clearly, use computer or tablet tools as needed, and perform routine security-related activities to help deter incidents. The role serves a healthcare location and involves customer service, screening, incident response, monitoring access points and restricted areas, and accurate documentation.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by following site-specific procedures, access-screening protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Screen individuals and belongings entering the healthcare location and report prohibited items, suspicious activity, and policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond calmly and help solve critical situations, including medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and access-control concerns.
- Monitor entry points, visitor flow, and restricted areas to help deter unauthorized access and support a professional healthcare environment.
- Complete required logs, incident reports, and screening documentation accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
