About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Sparrows Point, Maryland. The officer will help safeguard the site by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access points and alarm systems, and supporting screening procedures. The role also involves providing customer service and communicating clearly with employees, visitors, and vendors.

The position is scheduled Wednesday through Saturday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and pays $19.76 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and applicable emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and restricted areas according to site policies; report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate contacts.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Complete accurate patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence.
