About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for a technology-focused corporate location in Sparrows Point, Maryland. The officer will help safeguard the site by maintaining a visible presence, patrolling assigned areas, supporting access control and visitor interactions, and providing professional customer service. The role includes a scheduled overnight shift on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Pay is $19.76 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations before employment, if required.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas, identifying and reporting unusual conditions.
Monitor access activity and visitor entry; assist with badge verification and visitor directions, and escalate access concerns.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations by following emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and daily activity logs regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
