About The Position
As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location in San Francisco, California, you will help safeguard clients by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service. You will communicate professionally with customers, employees, and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment. The role includes responding to incidents and concerns, monitoring for hazards and policy violations, documenting observations, controlling access to restricted areas, and assisting with opening and closing procedures as assigned. The listed pay rate is $24.16 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Saturdays and Sundays from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM. Additional shifts may be available through Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Nice To Haves
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to store customers, employees, and visitors by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations; contact store leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential hazards; document observations and complete required incident reports.
- Control access to restricted areas, assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned, and maintain a visible presence at the location.
