About The Position

As a part-time, unarmed patrol officer supporting a transportation location in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, you will help safeguard the site by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and providing customer service and clear communication. You will report observations, respond to security-related concerns, and use computer or tablet technology as needed. The role is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM and pays $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
Monitor site access, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow established emergency response protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear and accurate reports and shift documentation about patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
