About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an experienced Security Officer for a part-time enhanced position at a utilities location in New Albany, Ohio. The role provides a designated weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to that anchor shift. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The pay rate is $19.37 per hour. The listed schedule is Saturday, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.

Requirements

• At least five years of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a driver's license is required for driving positions only.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific access-control procedures and policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor records, and direct authorized individuals according to entry requirements.
• Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Complete accurate reports, logs, and other documentation related to visitor activity, incidents, and security observations.
