About The Position

As a full-time Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a secure, organized environment. The posted pay rate is $16.33 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday 1:00 AM–11:30 AM and Tuesday and Wednesday 2:30 AM–12:30 PM. The role involves carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate. Officers monitor access points, keep visitor and vehicle entry records, respond to access-related incidents, and conduct patrols of access points, loading areas, the business, and perimeter. Applicants must meet the stated age and education requirements. Employment is conditional on background investigation and drug screening, to the extent permitted by law. State or local licensing may be required before employment. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor and control access points for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a logistics and distribution location.
Verify credentials, maintain visitor and vehicle entry records, and direct authorized personnel to designated areas.
Respond to access-related incidents and critical situations calmly, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, the business, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
