Security Officer - Monitoring - Full Time

About The Position

As a full-time unarmed patrol monitoring Security Officer in Reno, Nevada, you will help safeguard a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide clear communication and customer service to support a welcoming environment. The role is scheduled Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and pays $24.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, using problem-solving skills and escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and report unauthorized or unusual activity in accordance with site policies.
Complete activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications to support security operations.
