About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Bicycle Patrol in Wilmington, Delaware. The role provides consistent hours at an assigned site, with a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, allowing them to increase their hours and work toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. Pay is $21.00 per hour. The listed schedule is 10:00 PM–6:00 AM on Monday. The officer provides customer service and performs site-specific security procedures, access control, emergency response, and unarmed bicycle patrols. The position involves monitoring access points, maintaining records, responding to incidents, and reporting safety and security concerns.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Ability to ride a bike.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees while following site-specific security procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols by bicycle throughout manufacturing and industrial buildings, loading areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as required, and maintain accurate logs of visitors, deliveries, vehicles, and security-related incidents.
Report maintenance concerns, hazardous conditions, policy violations, and other security-related observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
