Security Officer Bicycle Route Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for bicycle route patrol at a commercial real estate location in Houston, Texas. The officer will safeguard clients by conducting bicycle patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, providing customer service, and communicating security-related concerns. The role supports a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors and requires following site-specific procedures and security policies. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, at a rate of $15.00 per hour. Applicants must be able to ride a bike and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements vary according to applicable state and local regulations and may need to be met before employment.
Requirements

- Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

- Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property staff while following site-specific procedures and security policies.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed bicycle patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas.
- Identify unusual activity and report maintenance or security-related concerns.
- Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and building information, and remain aware of authorized use of commercial property areas.
- Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs in accordance with company and site procedures.
