About The Position

The Bicycle Patrol Officer helps maintain a safe environment by monitoring activity, assisting visitors, and responding to incidents. The role involves controlling entrances and managing traffic, patrolling buildings and surrounding areas, escorting personnel and materials, and inspecting security and fire exposures. The officer completes Daily Activity and Incident Reports, responds to alarms and emergencies, and communicates daily with supervisors. The position is suited to someone who is vigilant, disciplined, observant, reliable, customer-service oriented, and able to communicate professionally, remain calm in stressful situations, adapt to changing environments, and manage multiple priorities. The officer must be able to ride a bicycle for extended periods.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Willingness to submit to a background check and drug screen; an employment offer is contingent on successful completion of a background investigation.
At least 3–6 months of prior experience in loss prevention, life safety, CCTV systems, or access computer systems.
State Guard license required.
Able to ride a bicycle for extended periods.
Vigilance, discipline, and observational skills.

Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle multiple priorities.
