About The Position

As a part-time armed Security Officer supporting a government corrections location in Raleigh, North Carolina, you will safeguard the site by conducting routine armed patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and responding professionally to security-related concerns. You will provide customer service and clear communication while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity. An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.

The schedule is Tuesday and Wednesday, 5:45 PM–6:00 AM. The position pays $21.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.

• An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeters, access points, and parking areas; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report unauthorized entry attempts in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations, coordinating with site personnel and law enforcement as appropriate.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and daily shift reports; maintain required equipment and complete post orders in accordance with company and site requirements.
