About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer for a driving perimeter patrol post at a chemical/petrochemical location in Saint Louis, Missouri. The officer will safeguard the site through armed patrols, access control, incident response, and customer service. The role requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with company policy and applicable requirements. The schedule is 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. The pay rate is $21.17 per hour.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by following site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency-response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, contractors, visitors, and deliveries in accordance with site policies.
• Carry and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, company policies, and site procedures.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
