About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer for a healthcare location in Orangeburg, South Carolina. The officer will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and the facility by conducting armed patrols, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and providing professional customer service. This post requires an Armed Guard Card or license. The schedule is Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. The role includes participation in industry-specific security training.

Requirements

Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
Have at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations, following post orders and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and assist with visitor management according to site requirements.
Accurately document incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and appropriate personnel.
