About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Armed Security Officer to support an aerospace and defense location in Greenville, South Carolina. The officer will safeguard the client’s site by conducting armed patrols, monitoring access and credentials, responding to incidents, and providing customer service to personnel and visitors. The role is scheduled Mondays and Tuesdays from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and pays $22.00 per hour. Applicants must meet licensing and experience requirements and will be subject to background and drug screening as permitted by law.

Requirements

Possess an armed guard card or license.
Have at least three years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and in accordance with site protocols.
Monitor access control points, verify credentials, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity.
Prepare clear and accurate reports about patrols, incidents, unusual activity, and security concerns.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
