About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer to support a food and beverage location in Orlando, Florida. The officer will safeguard the client’s facility by conducting armed patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring assigned areas and access points, and providing customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors. The role also involves following site-specific procedures and policies, documenting activity, and responding professionally to incidents and emergencies.

The schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. The pay rate is $22.50 per hour. Employment is subject to a background investigation and drug screening to the extent permitted by law. The officer must carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, company policies, and site procedures.

Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, loading docks, warehouse or production areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and document entries, deliveries, and unusual activity according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures.
