About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a front desk and visitor registration role at a logistics and distribution location in Atlanta, Georgia. The officer welcomes visitors, manages access, monitors entry activity, and provides customer service and professional communication. This is a driving position and requires a valid driver’s license. The position pays $16.33 per hour and is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
A valid driver’s license, as required for this driving position and in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, supporting emergency response activities.
Manage front desk access by greeting visitors, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate entry records.
Answer incoming calls, direct inquiries to appropriate personnel, and communicate relevant information to site contacts professionally.
Observe front desk and entry-area activity, report unusual conditions or policy violations, and respond calmly to incidents and critical situations.
Maintain a professional and orderly reception area while helping deter unauthorized access.
