About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Property Observation in Louisville, Kentucky. The position provides a dependable base schedule at an assigned site, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The fixed weekly shift requires a six-month commitment. Additional shifts may be available across multiple sites, allowing hours to vary and potentially increase to 40 per week, with the option to scale back. The role is at a logistics and distribution location and pays $17.00 per hour.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, responds to incidents and critical situations, conducts unarmed patrols, monitors access, and reports security concerns. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law; state or local licensing may also be required.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access issues, and critical situations, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized personnel and visitors, and maintain accurate records of entries, deliveries, and incidents as required.
• Report suspicious activity, damaged property, hazards, and other security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
