About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Observation for an assigned healthcare site in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The role provides a fixed weekly shift as a dependable base schedule, with a six-month commitment to that assignment. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, providing the option to vary hours and potentially work up to 40 hours per week. The listed pay rate is $18.00 per hour, and the scheduled shift is Tuesday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions, and report unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and actions taken, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
