About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer serving a manufacturing facility in Portland, Oregon, you will help safeguard clients by managing access points, verifying badges and credentials, monitoring access activity, and providing customer service to visitors and employees. You will use technology to document security-related information and communicate clearly while supporting a welcoming environment. The role includes carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, responding calmly to incidents, and conducting regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site. The position pays $21.15 per hour and is scheduled Friday and Saturday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
