About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for a driving post supporting a residential community in Calabasas, California. The officer will help maintain a welcoming, controlled community by managing entry procedures, verifying access, assisting residents and visitors, remaining visible, communicating clearly, and helping deter security-related incidents while providing customer service.

The schedule is Monday and Thursday through Sunday, 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The pay rate is $26.00 per hour.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license, as required by Allied Universal driver policy for driving positions.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation, consistent with applicable law.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Customer service experience.
• Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific access-control procedures and security policies.
• Monitor and control access at community entry points by verifying visitor authorization, documenting arrivals and departures, and directing guests according to established procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, resident concerns, gate or access issues, and critical situations, contacting appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and access records in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.
