About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned utility site in Hialeah, Florida. The role provides a reliable fixed weekly shift, with a six-month commitment to the assigned site and shift. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, offering the opportunity to increase hours and potentially build toward a schedule of up to 40 hours per week. The listed pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

The schedule is Sunday, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM. The position involves unarmed security patrols, access monitoring, customer service, incident response, and reporting. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors at a utility location by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, substations, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site policies.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and complete accurate reports.
• Observe and report potential hazards, equipment concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
