About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer for a technology-focused location in Sandston, Virginia. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and supporting access control and alarm response activities. The officer provides customer service and communicates with clients, visitors, contractors, Allied Universal leadership, and site contacts while using computer- or tablet-based systems. The scheduled shifts are Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Pay is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, if required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification.
Customer service experience.
Alarm panel experience.
Access control and badge experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly, following established escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter.
Monitor access points and visitor and contractor activity, and report security-related concerns according to site procedures.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
