About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location in Piedmont, SC, you will help safeguard clients, employees, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, help deter incidents, and support a secure environment. The role involves providing customer service, communicating clearly, and documenting security-related activity using technology. The position is scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and pays $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while following site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of chemical manufacturing areas, building interiors, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations; identify unusual conditions and report concerns.
• Monitor access by checking credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and reporting unauthorized access attempts according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established emergency protocols and contacting appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
