Security Officer Part Time Act 235 Armed Protection
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to support a government location in Hatboro, Pennsylvania. The officer will safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, deterring incidents, and reporting security-related concerns. The role includes providing customer service and clear communication while working with site personnel and following site-specific policies and procedures. The position requires Pennsylvania Act 235 qualification. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, at a rate of $24.55 per hour. Candidates must provide proof of successful Act 235 training with their application; the certification will be verified and must be maintained during employment.
Requirements
- Possess a Pennsylvania Act 235 qualification and provide proof of successful completion of the training program with the employment application.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Maintain compliance with Act 235 requirements throughout employment.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a government military and veterans services location while following security procedures and site-specific policies.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, following protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and deliveries in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities.
