About The Position

KRE Security, LLC is hiring Armed School Security Officers for the 2026–2027 school year in Lehighton, Pennsylvania. The role helps maintain a safe and secure learning environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Candidates must complete an interview with both KRE Security, LLC and the client before placement. The position pays $23.00 per hour and follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:15 AM to 2:30 PM. Overtime is paid after 40 hours worked. Military and retired law enforcement personnel receive an additional $0.25 per hour. Benefits eligibility is available to employees working at least 30 hours per week. Paid time off accrues up to 40 hours beginning after the probationary period. Summer employment may be available depending on performance and operational needs.

Requirements

Valid Pennsylvania Act 235 Certification.
High school diploma or GED.
Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check.
Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance.
FBI fingerprint clearance.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
Professional appearance, sound judgment, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain a visible armed security presence on school property.
Conduct interior and exterior campus patrols.
Monitor entrances and verify visitors.

Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
Coordinate with school administration and local law enforcement as needed.
