About The Position
KRE Security, LLC is seeking dependable, professional Armed School Security Officers for the 2026–2027 school year in Lehighton, Pennsylvania. The role helps maintain a safe and secure learning environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Candidates must successfully complete an interview with both KRE Security, LLC and the client before placement. This is full-time employment during the school year, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:15 AM to 2:30 PM and pay of $23.00 per hour. Overtime is paid after 40 hours worked. Military and retired law enforcement personnel receive an additional $0.25 per hour. Employees working 30 or more hours per week are eligible for benefits. Paid time off accrues up to 40 hours after the probationary period. Potential summer employment may be available based on performance and operational needs.
Requirements
- Valid Pennsylvania Act 235 Certification.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check.
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance.
- FBI fingerprint clearance.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Professional appearance, sound judgment, and strong communication skills.
- Successfully complete an interview with both KRE Security, LLC and the client before placement.

Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible armed security presence on school property.
- Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the campus.
- Monitor entrances and verify visitors.
- Enforce school safety policies and follow emergency procedures.
- Respond professionally to emergencies and security incidents.
- Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
- Coordinate with school administration and local law enforcement as needed.
- Help protect students, staff, and visitors while supporting a safe learning environment.
