About The Position

KRE Security, LLC is hiring a full-time Armed School Security Officer in Elliottsburg, Pennsylvania. The role helps maintain a safe and secure learning environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Candidates must successfully interview with both KRE Security, LLC and the client before placement. The position pays $22.00 per hour and follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:15 AM to 3:45 PM during the school year. The client contract requires attendance at school events, sports, and meetings when requested, so additional hours should be expected. Overtime is paid after 40 hours worked. Employees working at least 30 hours per week are eligible for benefits. Paid time off accrues up to 40 hours after the probationary period. Potential summer employment may be available based on performance and operational needs. Military and retired law enforcement personnel receive an additional $0.25 per hour.

Requirements

• Valid Pennsylvania Act 235 Certification.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check.
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance.
• FBI fingerprint clearance.
• Reliable transportation and a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Professional appearance, sound judgment, and strong communication skills.
• Successfully complete an interview with both KRE Security, LLC and the client before placement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible armed security presence on school property.
• Conduct interior and exterior campus patrols.
• Monitor entrances and verify visitors.

• Respond professionally to emergencies and security incidents.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Coordinate with school administration and local law enforcement as needed.
• Help protect students, staff, and visitors while supporting a safe learning environment.
• Attend school events, sports, and meetings as requested by the district.
