Security Officer - Screening Compliance
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Screening Compliance in Phoenix, Arizona, you will serve and safeguard clients in a logistics and distribution location. You will help support a secure environment by screening people and/or materials, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide customer service and clear communication while helping deter incidents through a professional, visible presence. This is a full-time position paying $18.30 per hour. The schedule is listed as Monday 2:00 PM–12:00 AM, Friday 12:00 AM–10:00 AM, Saturday 8:00 PM–12:00 AM, and Sunday 2:00 PM–12:00 AM.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access policies, and emergency response activities.
- Screen personnel, visitors, and permitted items entering designated areas in accordance with established procedures and applicable site requirements.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor activity, screening results, and unusual occurrences.
- Respond calmly to incidents, prohibited-item findings, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
