About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer for a media and technology location in Los Angeles, California. The officer will help safeguard employees, visitors, talent, vendors, and guests by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring assigned areas, and responding to security concerns. The role involves unarmed patrols of offices, studios, production areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the property perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by location.

The officer will monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, report unauthorized access or unusual activity, and respond calmly to incidents. The position also requires maintaining activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications while providing a professional and welcoming customer-service experience. The role is scheduled Wednesday and Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to midnight, and pays $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Possession of a guard card or license.
• Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, talent, vendors, and guests while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, studios, production areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the property perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials according to site procedures, and report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, document observations, and notify site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Maintain detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications.
• Support a professional, welcoming environment.
