Security Officer Part Time - Unarmed
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The role involves safeguarding the site by monitoring assigned areas, conducting patrols, managing access control, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The officer uses computer or tablet systems, communicates professionally with employees and visitors, and provides customer service. The schedule is Thursday and Friday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.51 per hour. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
- Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Monitor access points, visitor activity, and deliveries; document observations and report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established escalation and emergency response procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, business areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Complete required reports, logs, and incident documentation accurately and promptly.
- Maintain professional communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
