About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol officer and route driver at a government port location in Jacksonville, Florida. The officer will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and personnel. The role emphasizes customer service, professional communication, and responding to security-related concerns with integrity. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.06 per hour.

Requirements

• A Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) issued by TSA is required.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions and must comply with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• A guard card or license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, contractors, and port personnel while following site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of port property, facilities, parking areas, gates, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, vehicle authorizations, and visitor or contractor entry requirements according to established site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document observations and actions taken.
• Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications while maintaining a professional presence.
