About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for a commercial real estate location in El Segundo, California. The officer will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, clear communication, teamwork, and integrity. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.70 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, and assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office buildings, common areas, parking facilities, loading areas, and the property perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor building access points, observe visitor and contractor activity, and help direct people in accordance with site policies.
Document patrols, incidents, and unusual conditions in accurate daily activity reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
