About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Access Verification Patrol in West Des Moines, Iowa, you will serve and safeguard clients at a financial institution. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide customer service and communication. The role is full-time and pays $20.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements depend on state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, report unusual conditions, and maintain accurate activity logs.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow established site procedures, and contact appropriate personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the banking location, offices, ATM areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security concerns.
Assist with access control and visitor management, and direct customers and delivery personnel according to site-specific requirements.
