About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location in Charlotte, North Carolina, you will help safeguard clients, tenants, visitors, and property. You will conduct routine and random patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, provide customer service, and help maintain a welcoming and orderly environment. You will communicate professionally, report observations, and follow site-specific policies and procedures.

The position is scheduled Thursday through Sunday, 5:00 PM to 3:00 AM, and pays $17.50 per hour. Duties include responding to incidents and concerns, monitoring access points and visitor activity, documenting activities, and communicating with site contacts, company leadership, and emergency responders as needed.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet state or local licensing requirements, if applicable before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations; document observations and activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of property interiors, parking areas, entrances, loading areas, and perimeter locations, identifying and reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and building information, and help maintain an orderly environment.
• Communicate promptly with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders regarding security incidents or property concerns.
