About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Access Patrol Security Officer at a healthcare location in Jacksonville, Florida, you will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and vendors. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, provide customer service, and use technology to document observations and assist people at the facility. The role involves responding to incidents and emergencies, following site-specific policies and protocols, and communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Possession of a guard card or license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations, following established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and help direct individuals to appropriate departments or locations.
Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
