About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for entry verification at an assigned food production site in Milford, Delaware. The role provides a designated weekly shift as a dependable base schedule, with a six-month commitment to the assigned site and shift. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform to increase their hours, potentially building to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week while retaining the option to scale back. The stated pay rate is $17.25 per hour. The scheduled shift is Wednesday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Requirements

• At least six months of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
• Commit to the assigned site and weekly shift for six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Control facility access by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery documentation according to site requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, visitor activity, and vehicle traffic to help protect people, products, equipment, and restricted areas.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, document observations, and notify appropriate site contacts or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, and designated access points.
