About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer in Pooler, Georgia, to support a logistics and distribution site. The role involves screening people and materials, monitoring access points, verifying credentials and delivery documentation, and helping maintain a secure, orderly environment. The officer will provide professional customer service, maintain a visible presence, communicate with team members, and report potential security concerns. The schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The pay rate is $15.24 per hour. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening as permitted by law. Applicable licensing may be required before employment.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and team members while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Screen people, packages, and vehicles entering designated areas according to site procedures; document observations and report prohibited items or unusual activity.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, and help maintain orderly movement throughout the location.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of operational areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, reporting hazards, access concerns, and other security-related issues.
