About The Position

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal in New Castle, Delaware, you will serve and safeguard clients by helping maintain a secure, welcoming, and professional environment. You will monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry, respond to security-related concerns, and provide customer service and clear communication. The position is full time and pays $22.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Thursday through Sunday, 6:30 PM to 4:30 AM.

Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing requirements may apply and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Manage access control by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit activity, and maintaining visitor and access records according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, communicating with appropriate personnel and emergency services as needed.
Monitor access points, alarms, and security-related systems; report irregularities, unauthorized access attempts, and maintenance concerns.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
