About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Armed Security Officer for building patrol at a healthcare location in Akron, Ohio. The officer will conduct routine armed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. The role supports a welcoming environment through clear communication and customer service, while following site policies, emergency procedures, applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, and post orders. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The pay rate is $26.00 per hour.

Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Must participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare service location.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations, coordinating with site personnel or emergency responders as needed.
Carry the assigned firearm and other equipment in accordance with company policies, applicable laws, and site-specific post orders.
Accurately and promptly document observations, incidents, and patrol activities, and report concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
