About The Position

As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting in Tustin, California, you will serve and safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and help maintain a welcoming environment. This is a full-time overnight position scheduled Wednesday through Sunday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The pay rate is $21.00 per hour. Applicants must have at least one year of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.

Nice To Haves

A state-, county-, or city-issued security license is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond professionally and calmly to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to site leadership.
Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activity, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.
