Security Officer Unarmed Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Goleta, California, you will serve and safeguard clients at a dynamic retail-focused location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through professional communication, routine patrols, and customer service. The role is full-time and pays $22.75 per hour. The schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 4:00 p.m. to midnight. The position provides customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate. Officers respond calmly to incidents, conduct regular and random patrols, observe and report unusual activity and hazards, and complete activity logs and incident reports according to site procedures.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and conducting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including access points and parking areas as applicable.
- Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Complete activity logs and incident reports accurately and in accordance with site procedures.
