Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Level Three in Houston, Texas. The role provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow hours to vary from part-time to as many as 40 hours per week. The stated schedule is Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Pay is $18.84 per hour. The officer provides customer service while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response practices. Duties include armed patrols of government facilities and surrounding areas, responding to incidents and alarms, monitoring access and visitor activity, documenting events, and carrying assigned equipment in compliance with company policies, site requirements, and applicable laws.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
- Texas Level III Armed Certification.
- At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report suspicious activity or policy violations.
- Maintain required reports and documentation and carry assigned equipment in accordance with company policies, site requirements, and applicable laws.
