About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol in New Orleans, Louisiana. The position provides reliable hours at an assigned commercial real estate site, with a designated weekly shift requiring a six-month commitment. In addition to the fixed shift, officers may claim available shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The role is part-time, with the option to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week or scale back. The listed pay rate is $14.00 per hour. The posted schedule is Monday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM.

The officer provides customer service and performs site-specific security duties, including armed patrols, access monitoring, incident response, and accurate documentation. The role requires compliance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, company policies, and client-site procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if the position requires driving.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations; contact emergency services and/or site management as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and property concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and follow applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and client-site procedures for armed security duties.
