About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Richmond, Virginia. The role provides a dependable weekly shift at an assigned government facility, with the option to pick up additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The designated weekly shift requires a six-month commitment. Employees may work part-time hours or build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The listed shift is Thursday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. Pay is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation, subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if assigned to a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and agency personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization as required, and report unauthorized activity or policy violations through established procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; request additional assistance or contact emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrols, observations, and other security-related activities.
